Greenly Beach

Greenly Beach

What a find!  Just 70kms from Port Lincoln on the Western side of the Eyre Peninsula is Greenly Beach.  We spent 2 nights camped up, overlooking the crashing waves.  it was a magical spot, and at just $5 per night, a real treat.  The dogs loved the walks on the beach, and all the roads in and around Greenly Beach.  At the Northern end, where we were camped, there are rock pools.  We took the dogs down there for a swim, and when the tide is coming in and the waves crash over the end and fill the pools its like a spa.  The days are long, relaxing by the water, listening to the waves.  We could have easily stayed here a week.

The sun sets over the water, and creates a magical, lit up sky. We really enjoyed the sunsets. Once the sun was down, the stars all came up. I don’t ever remember a time where I have seen as many stars in the sky as our second night at Greenly Beach.

There are camping limits of 4 weeks, and you must be fully self contained to camp here.  The road has a few potholes, so take it easy on the drive in. Access can be made by 2WD cars, so low vans would still make it in comfortably.
